Hands That Talk Scoop Top Award at National Lottery Awards

Dungiven based Hands That Talk have scooped the "Best UK Charity/Voluntary Project" at the National Lottery Awards which were televised live from London on Saturday 5th November on BBC 1. Dorothy Hegarty (founder), James McKernan (Chairman), Siobhan McKeever (Volunteer) and Denise McConnell-Dillon (Executive Officer) all attended the star-studded event and were delighted to have won the award. On receiving the award James McKernan said "I would like to thank everyone who voted and a special thank you to the staff, volunteers and board of directors who have worked so hard to make the project a success".

Dorothy Hegarty thanked the people of Dungiven and Limavady Borough Council for their support over the years and said "A special thank you must go to the National Lottery for their funding that has enabled Hands That Talk to make a difference".
